iPhone 4s, My Future Ex?

A man’s worst nightmare after a break up is a chick that looks exactly like your ex. You’re having second thoughts, it's too early perhaps to end it, and maybe you should give it one more chance.
You two did look great together, your iPhone 4 and you, I mean. In fact you still do. Should you go next? 4s, I mean? Well, let’s see about that.

Apple iPhone 4S was launched in October. As always, expectations were very high, rumors about this phone’s features started many months before. 4S is not a revolutionary phone, comes rather as an improvement to iPhone 4 . Perhaps this is why many aficionados said they were disappointed when they saw the phone, expecting perhaps a completely new iPhone 5 . The iPhone 4S is the half-point type. There probably is nothing special about it. At least, not on the outside. You can see it for yourself, first hand if you decide to buy one here on a monthly deal.

Many of the features of iPhone 4 were improved. The processor is faster, Internet through HSPA is also faster, and it features a better camera, including HD 1080p video recording capability. Siri, the iPhone 4S digital assistance, presents a very interesting technology, even if there is premature to say it will permanently change the way we use the phone. Apple phones have been criticized many times they are behind the competition in terms of hardware, but iPhone 4S is now almost as well equipped as the latest Android smartphones.

Appearance

Apple's new phone comes in a small box, which contains only strictly necessary accessories. Apple put inside the charger, USB cable and a hands free headset. The box also contains a device that helps you remove the SIM card and the user manual. Apple makes lots of money from the sale of apps and accessories, so if you want a protective cover or other cables, you must pay separately paisan, no freebies here.

iPhone 4S looks identical to iPhone 4. The exterior does not betray any difference, which was surprising to many who expected a radical new design. Dimensions are still extremely small, the phone has a length of 115.2 mm, a width of 58.6 mm and a thickness of only 9.3 mm. It is definitely one of the thinnest smartphones.  At a weight of 140 grams is not exactly light as a feather, but it’s nothing out of ordinary either. The phone feels great in hand, is solid and the materials used are of high quality. Apple, as always, doesn’t disappoint in this regard.
The front of the phone shows off the 3.5 inch display, a single button below the screen, the speaker above the screen, a secondary camera and proximity and ambient light sensors.
The right side houses the SIM card only. To open the slot you have a dedicated tool that comes in the box, but you can also use a paperclip. Or a hammer.
The left side has volume buttons and a mute button. These buttons are one of the few design changes to the iPhone 4, they were moved a few millimeters from the old position. The button that increases the volume is also used when shooting pictures.
Top includes a headphone jack and the power button to turn off the screen. While not very visible, here is a second microphone, which eliminates ambient noise in calls.
On the back we can find only the 8 megapixel camera, with LED flash. Battery is non-removable and you don’t have a Micro SD slot, ergo you don’t have access to the phone’s back cover.
At 1430 mAh, the battery has a generous capacity. According to the manufacturer, it holds up to 200 hours of standby or up to 14 hours in 2G talk time and 8 hours of talk time on 3G newtorks. In reality it depends very much on how you use the phone, in the hands of a hardcore user battery will last for one day, with a moderate use, maybe you get 2 days.
Internet and GPS consumes the most battery life, playing music is more conservative with the battery (if you keep the screen closed).

Use

iPhone 4S comes with iOS 5, the newest version of Apple's operating system. iOS 5 brings more news from IOS 4, making the phone more user friendly. Siri Virtual Assistant is probably the most interesting. Siri is a new way to interact with the phone. Instead of searching through the applications, you say what you want, and Siri helps. For example, you can dictate to your phone to add a date in the calendar, to call a contact or send a message. Voice recognition works quite well, although it is still in beta.
Another important novelty is the notification menu. Since Apple introduced the possibility for applications to run in the background on IOS, there always was an issue that notifications appeared above the current application and interrupted what you were doing. Apple was inspired here by the way notifications work on Android, they now appear in the top bar, without having to interrupt your current application.
Another important thing is that iOS 5 can update the phone directly over the Internet. Upgrades are thus much faster and more convenient.

The 4S's screen is 3.5 inches and offers a resolution of 640 x 960 pixels. It is called Retina Display, with one of the largest resolution available on a mobile phonethe. The honest truth is few can match the Retina for its crisp graphics, vibrant colors, deep blacks and remarkable sunlight legibility and viewing angles. . We must admit this is one of the strong points of the phone, the high resolution makes any image, video or text a delight to see. The screen is scratch resistant.

As I previously said, in the hardware department we have a major improvement over Iphone 4. We now have a dual core processor of 1 GHz, making all applications to move faster. There is a dedicated video processor too, which is excellent for any application that uses the video resources intensely and makes them run smoothly. RAM is 512 MB.

Basic functions

iPhone 4s telephony department works great, unlike its predecessor. Importantly, the GSM signal reception problems were solved. This was one of the biggest problems of the iPhone 4. Fortunately, Apple’s problems have been forgotten or ignored by fans everywhere; else the phone would have had very low sales. 4S now uses two antennas instead of one, so that even you’re accidentally touching an antenna, the other takes over immediately,  reception is assured.
A nice touch of the iPhone 4S is noise reduction, made possible by a second microphone. With this function, you may speak in a crowded, noisy place with no problems at all.
iPhone 4S uses the same simple main menu that shows all available applications. User interface is extremely intuitive, which is also one of the proven qualities of IOS.
Agenda lets you add any contacts you want, and now you can  associate a phone book contact to a profile on a social network such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and LinkedIn.

Messaging is another strong point of this phone. Obviously 4S supports both SMS and MMS, and email. iMessage is probably one of the most interesting features, which allow you to send free text messages to your friends who also have an iPhone. iMessage is actually an instant messaging application, but what makes it so successful is the integration with regular SMS application. When you’re writing a new text message, the application checks if the receiver   also has an iPhone and if so, it sends the SMS through the Internet instead, so you do not have to pay for the SMS. Everything happens automatically of course, the SMS application gives you a hint though, if the Send button is green it means that you are sending a regular SMS and blue means that   you are sending an iMessage.
The email client is also very good. You may set up multiple accounts POP3/IMAP and organize your messages in many ways.

Multimedia

4S does not support micro SD cards and that's sad, but comes with more internal memory than its predecessor, so you have enough room to keep your multimedia files. When you buy the phone, you can opt for one of the versions of 16, 32 or 64 GB.
The gallery is, as usual, excellent. Photographs can be seen on the screen on high resolution, the transition from one picture to another and is quick, also zooming is lightning fast and the phone has included a photo editor that helps you edit photos.

The music player is also excellent, as we expect from the company that invented the iPod. You can organize your music into categories, you benefit from a graphic equalizer that helps you change your sound at will and you can buy music from iTunes directly from the phone. Music playback quality is very good, as I expected. Headphones in the package are pretty good, no need for an upgrade here.

Breaking news, iPhone 4S has FM radio, at last. That's a relief. (nope, just kidding, too high tech)

The video player plays 1080p but suffers from poor codec support. Videos look pretty good on the high resolution screen of the phone, including HD 1080p clips, running smoothly. Unfortunately it lacks support for DivX or Xvid.

The camera is one of the biggest improvements over the iPhone 4. The 8 megapixel sensor changed picture quality radically; pictures are now extremely vivid in terms of contrast, the level of detail and colors. LED flash helps in low light photography. It is definitely one of the best 8 megapixel camera on a mobile phone, you can kiss your old dedicated camera good bye.

Video recording is another strong feature of the phone. iPhone 4s records at 1080p resolution with 30 fps, which means Full HD movies with excellent quality. Videos are saved in MOV format and will take a lot of space due to very high resolution, but then you can compress them with the video editor included in the software bundle. 4S 's camera excels in terms of image stabilization, so if you’re shaking your hand when shooting, phone compensates and creates a stable image.

Connectivity

No complaints here, as usual. You can connect to high speed internet Wi-Fi b / g / n, and by up to 14.4 Mbps HSPA download is 5.76 Mbps upload.
The web browser is an upgraded version of Safari. It is very fast, it loads web pages correctly, which make browsing a pleasure. I liked the Reader function, which extracts only the useful content of Web pages, for example an article and associated photos, displaying only this useful content full screen, somewhat like pages of a book. You get rid of advertising and stuff that is irrelevant for you and also eats up memory. Reader mode is activated by pressing a button on any page in which the browser detects compatible content.
The phone has Bluetooth 4.0; you can use it to connect hands free or other accessories. Unfortunately, Bluetooth file transfer is not possible, at least not without a separate application. Sucky.
iPhone connects to the computer using the USB cable supplied in the package. The phone uses a proprietary port, but the USB cable provided helps you connect it to any computer.

Applications

Applications are an important part of any iPhone aficionado, one of the reasons we buy one. Besides the many applications preinstalled, you can download thousands of free and paid applications from the App Store.

Organizer functions of the iPhone 4S are excellent. Its calendar can be synchronized with Microsoft Outlook or Google Calendar. "Reminders" is the new application that allows you to add reminders to alert you at a certain time/location that you have something to do. Simple, but useful, this application Reminders lets you associate a reminder with a location. For example, you can configure your phone to notify you when you get to a certain location that you have something to do, like kissing the secretary at the office, you get the idea.

Because almost all of us are watching YouTube on the go, the iPhone comes with an application for it.

We already know the iBooks, the application that lets buy and read eBooks on iPhone. It is preinstalled and looks great, including a free book.
4s comes with GPS and the application preinstalled for navigation is Google Maps.  In App Store you may find a lot of applications for GPS navigation, so you can use your GPS device instead of the cars.

Conclusion:

Apple's iPhone 4S is undoubtedly one of the most desired phones of the moment.   For true believers, getting the latest Apple tech is not just an upgrade, they get elevated to a new level of well-being and fulfillment. 4s is blazing fast, thanks to the new dual core chip and the graphics chip. It will serve you right for a long time from now, the camera is one of the best in the industry, both in terms of pictures or HD recording. With IOS5, you’re making a difference, with iCloud, iMessage, Siri, OTA updates and all the goodies from the brilliant appstore, not forgetting the looks of the original iPhone 4.

For millions of people though it will be between the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S. Tough one we know. But hey, there's an app for that:

SIRI: Wait… there are other phones?

The Samsung Tocco Lite: Modest Phone, Gutter Prices

Samsung Tocco Lite Design black
Samsung Tocco Lite Design black deals
There is something very likeable about the Samsung Tocco Lite, it has a simple charm from a bygone age... 3 years ago, that is (which is an aeon in mobile phone time). It's a touchscreen feature phone without 3G or wi-fi capabilities, so if that's going to put you off then you might as well stop reading now. However if you're looking for a phone that can do the basics well (calling and texting) but with a nice responsive touchscreen and a few widgets, then you can get some incredible phone deals on the Samsung Tocco Lite now.

Feature Phone

You shouldn't get the idea that this phone is only for calling and texting though, it's not that old. You can also play videos, connect to the internet, play music, all of that good stuff. It's just that you're not going to be able to download a whole lot of apps the way you can with an Android or iPhone device. If that's not something you'd be interested in doing anyway though, then you might as well go for budget phone such as this and save your money.

There's something you can be pretty sure about, if you're still able to get monthly contract deals on a phone three years after it was released, it has to be pretty good. Indeed, at the time it was one of the best phones of its type available. Its lack of 3G or wi-fi capabilities were, and are, disappointing but as we say, if you're not planning on using the internet too much then it's no great loss. Also, it's not as if you can't connect at all, it's simply that it is going to be slow. There are built in links and widgets for social networking sites such as Facebook, if that's something you're interested in.

It's a phone which is nice and small, easily fitting in to your pocket, the way phones used to be. Nowadays you can get phones that you practically have to carry around in a bag and hold in two hands. Well, this isn't one of those. It has a 3 inch screen, and no keypad so the screen dictates how big the phone is: not very. Again, if you're looking for a phone with a big screen, you'll have to look elsewhere.

As stated, this is a touchscreen. Looking at the specs and seeing that it is a resistive touchscreen might put you off, if you know about their reputation for being unresponsive, and needing a great deal of pressure to get the action that you want. Fortunately with this mobile, that is not the case, its responsiveness is fine and you don't even have to press down very hard. It's quality build means that it doesn't feel squidgy in your grasp either, it feels as if it could stand up to the odd knock here and there.

It's 3.2 megapixel camera is decent too. Nowadays you would expect at least 5MP even from a budget Android, but the Tocco Lite's camera performs well.

Perhaps most importantly, call quality is good and texting on the touchscreen is simple as well. What's more, not being a smart phone, the battery life is excellent. You can use it frequently throughout the day and for a few days after that until you have to charge it again. If you want to make smart phone users envious, just tell them that and see what colour they turn!

For the full specifications, check out Samsung's website.

Phone Deals

As long as you have modest needs from a phone, the Tocco Lite will satisfy them. However you don't need to expect a modest price because you can get some obscenely low SamsungTocco Lite Design black monthly contract deals now! As well as Samsung Tocco Lite Design silver deals too!

Does the BlackBerry Torch 9860 Hold a Flame to iPhones and Android?

BlackBerry Torch 9860 front, back and profile views
BlackBerry Torch 9860 deals
With the BlackBerry Torch 9860 a bold move has been made away from the traditional BlackBerry design. You will find no Qwerty keyboard, in fact no physical keyboard of any kind. There are a few buttons at the bottom of the phone, and there's still an optical trackpad too, but this is very much a touchscreen phone. So, is it a contender to the iPhone and Android platforms? What will BlackBerry fans think? Let's investigate.

The Basics

Let's start with the basics and say that, basically, this is a very nice phone. The design is sleek and slender, and although at 12mm thick it's more bulky than most out there, it really doesn't feel it. In contrast to the straight lines and hard edges of the iPhone, BlackBerry have gone for curves and rounded edges, making it a pleasure to hold.

Okay, how about the operating system? It comes with BlackBerry OS 7, which is a vast improvement on previous incarnations. It's responsive and well designed, with different compartments for different functions, making it easy to find what you want in a hurry, and easy to customise as well. With a single-core 1.2 GHz processor it's plenty smooth as long as you're only doing one thing at a time, but try doing much more than that and expect the phone to slow down. There's also 2.5GB of internal storage (which is a lot), but doesn't come with a microSD card so if you intend to download music and watch videos, that's going to have to be a quick addition.

The screen is clear and crisp, and stands up well to the best Android and iPhone offerings. With a resolution of only 400 x 800 pixels (compared to the iPhone 4's 640 x 960) you might not think it would, but it really does. The screen is bright and the colours are nice and bold. The 3.7 inch screen is plenty big enough as well. So, is it really a contender with iPhones and Androids?

BlackBerry v Android v iPhone

Eeeehhhh, well... it depends. One of the best things about the Android and iPhone are the massive and ever expanding app stores, in effect allowing you the chance of a minor upgrade every time a new app comes out that you like. Or to totally overhaul the way you use your phone. And while the BlackBerry Torch 9860 comes with pre-installed apps, allowing you to do things like listen to music and watch videos, and there is an app store (called BlackBerry App World) it really doesn't compare to the Android or iPhone library and it probably never will.

That, in effect, is the major downfall for the BlackBerry Torch 9860, and it's a shame because otherwise it would be a truly excellent phone. It is, if you don't need copious amounts of apps. If you're a BlackBerry fan and you're really not bothered about being able to play the latest game on your phone then it's definitely worth a look.

BlackBerry for Business

BlackBerry made its name, of course, by being a business friendly phone. That little keyboard makes emailing easy and fast for a lot of people. The BlackBerry Torch 9860 doesn't have that of course, so is it servicing the core BlackBerry fan base?

Well, not if you really want that keyboard. However there's still the BlackBerry Messenger service which is fast and reliable. Plus you have a little LED above the display which flashes when you've received a message, useful for if you are in a business meeting and have to have your phone on silent.

The full specs for the BlackBerry Torch 9860 can be found at BlackBerry's website.

Summing Up

With the big screen there's plenty of room for an on-screen keyboard to be just as good as the physical keys, but if you really want that Qwerty keyboard then this isn't the phone for you. And if you need the vast and ever-increasing library of apps available from an Android or an iPhone then it would be better to check out something like SamsungGalaxy S II deals or iPhone deals.

On the other hand if you love what BlackBerrys have to offer and can do without the physical keyboard and vast arrays of apps, it's definitely worth having a look at BlackBerry Torch 9860 contract deals to see if you can be tempted by the impressively low priced phone deals on offer for a device of unquestionable quality.

Detailed Information about Apple New iPad Wi-Fi 4G 64GB

Design:
The new iPad is same as the previous one in dimensions except it is very thin. It is 9.5 inches tall and 7.31 inches wide, .37 inches thick. It weighs about 1.44 pounds. The body is made up of aluminum. The processor of the device has been improved to a latest thing A5X. The dual-core A5X chip with quad-core graphics support provides a great deal of smoothness while powering substantially more technology. The home button on the bottom of the screen, and the volume rocker on the right side along with the mute switch/rotation lock are the same as before. There are two cameras: the front camera is a simple VGA but the rear camera is a 5 megapixel specially designed camera by Apple called the iSight camera. 64 GB memory, Bluetooth 4.0 and cellular technology are introduced.

Pros:
The design is slim and lite in weight as compared to a tablet so it is comfortable to use. The touch and screen resolution is awesome. 9.7 inch retina display provides 4 times more pixels and 44% greater color saturation than the iPad 2. 2048 x 1536 pixels render text and images quality better than ever. The new i-sight camera provides great picture quality in both dim and bright light situations. A newly designed 5-element f/2.4 lens also renders images with greater sharpness and definition. The color clearance is also remarkable. Though a huge screen seems a little odd for taking pictures, due to the big screen the picture display is better than any other camera or smart phone. Camera supports mostly all of the video formats including H.264 video up to 1080p, 30 frames per second. A full HD video quality; due to a great display quality, big screen and good storing capability it is very enjoyable to store and watch videos. The combination of IOS and iCloud makes wireless sync of the total system possible. The information and data of the device can be synchronized and the device can checked and repaired online. Features existing on this product such as Language Support, Keyboard Support, and Dictionary Support make it very easy and user friendly to work with the tablet. It is very important for a device to be user friendly and this iPad takes the term user friendly to a whole new level.

Cons:
The new iPad is slightly heavier than last year's model; apps and movies optimized for the screen might take up more space; and ports for HDMI, USB, and SD require adapters. SIRI digital assistant was not completely introduced in the new iPad. Only the voice-to-text dictation capability has migrated to the iPad. One major drawback of this new iPad is that Apple hasn’t included adobe flash support in the safari browser which makes many online apps and videos unavailable to the tablet. This lack of access is not at all desired in this great featuring tablet. The screen is big, resolution is high, and processor ability is great; as a result a larger power source is required for the device. A 70 percent larger battery pack is required for this new iPad. As a result the charging time of the battery increased which consequently results in more heating of the device. Voice dictation is less accurate. Using the new iPad as an e-reader is not preferable. It spite of having retina display which views words and pictures clearer than ever, the iPad weighs 1.44 pounds, which makes it really tiresome to hold in your hand for a long period of time. Thus reading is not very comfortable on this iPad.

Features:
There are uncountable great features available in this new iPad. The i-sight camera of this iPad has face detecting ability while taking still pictures. It can detect up to 10 faces while shooting humans. Safari, Mail, Messages, Photos, FaceTime, Newsstand, App Store, iTunes, Videos, Maps, Music, Game Center, Photo Booth, YouTube, Contacts, Reminders, Calendar, Notes, Camera; these amazing built in apps are present. This iPad is surely made for the whole world as it is supported by dictionaries of about 50 different language. Dictionary support of this level is really amazing. A wide range of people can use it for various purposes from gaming, multimedia, and entertainment to official work as almost the entire file formats are supported in this iPad. The GPS system works like beauty in this tablet. The GPS of iPad 4G allows a user to accurately pinpoint their location. This makes navigation to and mapping of distant places very easy. This feature is especially helpful for tourists and travelers, because navigation is a very important part their lives. Another amazing thing is voice dictation. One can speak their emails, texts, notes, or web searches and have the written words automatically appear. This feature makes day to day life really comfortable, and allows one to do these things even while walking and doing other things. WI-FI and other wireless connections and data transfer are available in this iPad. It can be connected to a pc through a wire and more than one wireless device simultaneously.

Performance:
the speed of this iPad is good enough for multitasking several apps at the same time. The touch is very smooth and the screen is durable enough to last a long time. It’s a whole new experience to watch videos with its improved retina. The video quality is truly awesome. And the new i-sight camera gives birth to the new idea that such a large device can be used for taking still pictures. The camera performs great in every lighting condition. Apple New iPad Wi-Fi 4G 64GB is a product that will definitely catch the eye of customers. Some new features are introduced in this iPad which makes the whole concept of a tablet different. For getting the iPad within the lowest price, please check Apple New iPad contracts.

The geographical location finding option is also added in the form of GPS and Bing application. These devices contain Bluetooth for connectivity options which needs hardly be stated because almost all the latest smart phones today facilitate such services for the users. An awesome feature along with the HTC 7 Trophy deals which will really charm are the games because you can play the games from the Xbox Live platform on your device. In case of the multimedia the Dolby Mobile surround sound system is another in built feature of this mobile phone. With the digital compass it will become easier enough for you to find out any geo locations. There are some other sensors also included with the digital compass in this device they are G-sensor and proximity sensor etc.

Recommendation:
The device will be provided with the latest Windows 7 operating system and the users are advised to use only the Windows Xp, Vista or 7 operating systems or the Zune software for this device.

For the users I would like to say that I did not find any problem since I enabled the HTC 7 Trophy deals because the performance I got from my device was awesome. As I was using a GSM service for communication for this I had 405 minutes of maximum talk time. I was told that the standby time of this device will be up to 360 hours but I had never have a chance to test this option because all the other performances of this device got me stuck with their awesome privileges. Using an HTC 7 Trophy feels something like you are provided with one of the best devices from the latest technology. Another special thing I got with these devices was a wide range of applications and games from the HTC Hub because I had never have to visit any other website to download applications or games. You can have the best price with HTC 7 Trophy deals.

Battle of the Touchscreens: LG Viewty Snap GM360 V Samsung Monte

Back in 2010, LG and Samsung each brought out a touchscreen phone directed towards the youth market. These were not Android phones but they did come with their own custom widgets which allowed the user to access sites such as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. The question is though, which one is better? The LG Viewty Snap GM360 or the Samsung Monte?

The best feature of this phone is its camera. If you are looking to decide between these two phones and the most important thing to you is the camera then you should go for the LG Viewty Snap. It has a 5 mega pixel camera (which is still good in 2012) and various controls for it, such as autofocus and white balance. Plus you've got a single flash for dark or night scenes. On the other hand, the Samsung Monte camera is not too shabby itself at 3.2 Mega Pixels, but it doesn't have quite the same quality or the amount of control.

However most people are going to be interested in more than just the camera. And the social networking features are good too, as is the music player. The sound quality is good, and the headphones that are supplied are effective too. So, for a youth-oriented phone, it seems to be hitting all of the bases, right?

Well, not quite because it's missing a couple of pretty essential things these days. The user-interface isn't great, it would take some time to get used to, but that is forgiveable in the final assessment. What is not going to be forgiveable for a lot of people is the fact that there is no GPS, wi-fi or 3G capability on this phone. So you have to be content with the slow, 2G Edge connection.

Other than that, it's got a nice design, it's easy to hold in your palm, it has good crisp call quality and it's inexpensive.Check out the full specs on the LG website.

But let's see if the Samsung Monte can improve on any of that.

In this review we're considering the Samsung Monte S5620 (full specs from Samsung here) and Samsung Monte Slider E2250 (full specs from Samsung here) together because they are very similar fundamentally. Which one you prefer will come down to whether you prefer a sliding phone or not.

So, how does it compare to the LG Viewty Snap? Well, we've already noted that the camera is not quite as good. Other than that though, the Samsung Monte wins in just about every area. The user interface is easier and more intuitive, it has a wider array of widgets to choose from and you can download more from Samsung (although they are a little large, cluttering the screen), it has a nice slender design and it is sensitive to the touch.

Samsung Monte E2550
If these were the only things that we were considering then it would be pretty even though, and the LG Viewty Snap might beat the Samsung Monte on the basis of the superior camera. If the camera is what is most important to you, then perhaps it does.

However the Samsung Monte has fully functional wi-fi, 3G and GPS making it far superior for web-based applications. Which of course is pretty important when it comes to things like Twitter and Facebook so it's pretty crucial for a social-networking phone.

Conclusion

If you're looking for a cheap touchscreen phone and getting good pictures is the most important thing for you then definitely check out LG Viewty Snap GM360 deals (or LG Viewty Snap GM360 purple or LG Viewty Snap GM360 pink). However if you're more interested in the social-networking side and want to have fast internet access then it's got to be either the Samsung Monte S5620 or Samsung Monte SliderE2550 contract deals.
